Asheville, NC - The Asheville Area Arts Council is grateful to Jonas Gerard for his generous donation of $2000 from his live performance paintings at his October 6 auction.
“It's what his work is really all about,” said Linda Greenup, Jonas’ partner, “…communication through his painting and contributing to the community as best he can through his creativity.”
“As the AAAC strives to create a connection between the arts and the community, we are particularly excited to accept this donation from such a distinguished local artist,” said Susanne Hackett, Interim Executive Director at the AAAC and Programs Director.
Mr. Gerard (www.jonasgerard.com) is both a local and internationally collected artist. The Asheville Area Arts Council, a non-profit member organization, is committed to promoting the integration of the arts in all aspects of community life and actively supports local artists and art organizations.
